We’ll present entire voter’s register to political parties, other groups on Tuesday – EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) will present the entire voter’s register to political parties and stakeholders on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, amid rising concerns over its accuracy.

Dr. Bossman Asare announced this decision following calls for an audit, particularly from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which has raised issues about discrepancies in the provisional list.

While the EC previously dismissed audit requests, this meeting aims to enhance transparency and foster trust in the electoral process, allowing stakeholders to review the register and raise concerns.

Dr. Asare expressed confidence that this initiative will address ongoing issues.
