The National Democratic Congress (NDC) plans to use its newly declared "majority" in Parliament to scrap unpopular taxes like the Electronic Transfers Levy (E-Levy) and betting taxes.
Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson said the party is focused on easing the economic burden caused by the ruling New Patriotic Party's (NPP) policies.
He criticized the NPP for creating a "high tax regime" that hurts businesses and individuals.
Despite the Supreme Court halting Speaker Alban Bagbin’s ruling on the vacant seats, the NDC is committed to using its influence to introduce tax reforms.
