The Public Services Workers’ Union (PSWU) has called on the government to stick to its negotiation timeline with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission after ending a four-day strike on October 25, following a directive from the National Labour Commission.
The strike disrupted essential services at various institutions, but operations have now returned to normal, as confirmed by staff at agencies like the Ghana Meteorological Agency and Ghana Statistical Service.
PSWU Deputy General Secretary John Sampa expressed optimism about the government's commitment to the timeline but warned that the union may reconsider its position if negotiations do not progress after November 5.
