We must review the structure of SSNIT to serve pensioners better – Ofori-Ampofo

Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo, President of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, has called for a review of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) structure during a JoyNews National Dialogue on pension reforms.

Highlighting the disparity between SSNIT's 18 billion cedis in assets and the 38 billion cedis of some private pension schemes, she stressed that SSNIT's investments are not adequately benefiting workers.

Ofori-Ampofo emphasized the importance of pensions for nurses and midwives, urging all workers to take their pensions seriously and highlighting SSNIT's crucial role in securing their future.
