We need to hear the president speak on galamsey as he did for Covid-19 – Ken Ashigbey

Dr. Ing. Ken Ashigbey, convener of the Media Coalition Against Galamsey, has called for President Akufo-Addo to intervene in the illegal mining crisis, stating that the damage to the environment has exceeded the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources' capacity to manage.

Ashigbey criticized the ministry's efforts as insufficient and urged the President to take decisive action, similar to his response during the pandemic, to address the galamsey issue effectively.
