"I can assure the nation that gradually we shall pay Akwasi Appiah all his entitlements. We love him as a Ghanaian, he is one of our own and we cannot do anything against coach Kwasi Appiah," the minister said.
Months after his contract with the Ministry of Sports ended in December last year, James Kwasi Appiah is yet to be paid some $185,000 in salary arrears owed him by the Ministry of Youth of Sports and the Ghana Football Association who contracted him as Black Stars coach on behalf of the state.
Kwasi Appiah has over the period expressed unhappiness about the situation with a close ally of his, Asante Fokou, revealing that the ex-black stars head coach will go as far as reporting the GFA and the Sports Ministry to world football governing body, FIFA to ensure his due is paid him.
