We’ve advocated for tough punishment against attacks on journalists – Information Minister

Minister for Information, Fatimatu Abubakar, has emphasized the government's commitment to protecting journalists and ensuring their safety.

During the rebranding of Citi TV to ChannelOne TV, she commended the station for its contributions to the country's development and urged it to continue delivering factual and fair reporting, especially during the election period.

The government is working with stakeholders to curb attacks on journalists and has advocated for severe punishment for perpetrators.
