We’ve significantly grown and improved under Hilda Ampadu – NaSIA to NAGRAT

The National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NASIA) has defended its Executive Director, Dr. Haggar Hilda Ampadu, against calls for her removal by NAGRAT President Angel Carbonu.

Carbonu criticized Dr. Ampadu for ineffective collaboration with teacher unions and insufficient oversight of Ghana Education Service (GES) trained teachers.

In a statement on July 24, NASIA praised Dr. Ampadu's leadership since June 2019, noting a significant increase in school inspections from 50 annually in 2019 to over 10,000 currently, including private schools.

NASIA emphasized Dr. Ampadu's contributions to improving learning outcomes through comprehensive inspection reports and expressed strong support for her continued leadership.
