Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah Yeboah has announced plans to appeal the acquittal of Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and Richard Jakpa in the controversial ambulance case.

Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express, Yeboah criticized the Court of Appeal's decision as fundamentally flawed and a miscarriage of justice.

The appeal will focus on alleged legal errors, seeking the Supreme Court's intervention.

The Appeals Court's 2:1 decision overturned a trial court's order for the accused to defend against charges of causing a €2.37 million financial loss in an ambulance procurement deal.

Attorney General Godfred Dame condemned the ruling, while Forson's lawyer, Godwin Edudzi Tamekloe, expressed confidence in his client's ultimate vindication.
