GJA President Albert Dwumfuor has warned against rising threats and violence targeting journalists ahead of December's elections.
Speaking at a forum organized by the GJA and the US Embassy, Dwumfuor stressed that attacks on journalists will not be tolerated, emphasizing the non-negotiable need for their safety and independence. He urged journalists to act responsibly and continue holding leaders accountable.
Dwumfuor also announced plans to launch a forum to share best practices among journalists, aiming to reduce media excesses and combat misinformation, hate speech, and polarizing narratives.
