Why do we need 30 days to identify who dumped patient in the bush? – Mary Addah

Mary Awelana Addah, Executive Director of the Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), has criticized the 30-day timeline for the investigation into the death of a patient dumped in a bush in Gomoa Ojobi, calling it too long.

She questioned the need for such a lengthy process when evidence and accounts already point to wrongdoing.

The investigation, prompted by the Health Minister, aims to establish the patient’s identity, review hospital events, and examine discharge procedures.

Addah emphasized the need for swift action to prevent impunity and ensure accountability.
