Over 400 staff members of the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital in Mampong held a vigil for Ruth Mamle Nartey, a midwife killed by a speeding vehicle on October 30 near the hospital.
The staff, including hospital management, marched to the accident site and held prayer sessions in her memory.
They are demanding the construction of speed ramps and pedestrian overpasses, as promised by the Eastern Regional Minister.
If their demands are not met, they threaten to halt their work.
The nurses call for larger speed ramps to slow down traffic and prevent future accidents.
