Yagbonwura of Gonjaland bans Abu Jinapor from palaces in traditional area

Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Soale Jewu, paramount chief of Gonjaland, has banned Lands Minister Samuel Abdulai Jinapor from all palaces within the Gonja kingdom.

This decree follows accusations from West Gonja traditional leaders that Jinapor interfered in local traditions, causing discontent.

The Yagbonwura's interpreters warned that any chief allowing Jinapor entry would face severe consequences. The ban aims to uphold the Yagbonwura's authority and demands that Jinapor respect traditional practices.

Angry youth displayed signs criticizing Jinapor's perceived selfishness and disrespect towards traditional authority. Chiefs and local leaders must enforce the decree to maintain order within the Gonja kingdom.
