The Minister of Education Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has subtly endorsed the presidential ambition of the Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at a public event in the Ashanti Region.
At a ceremony to cut sod for the commencement of Phase 1 of the 32 state-of-the-art Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) centres in Abrankese, Adutwum, who doubles as the MP for the Bosomtwe constituency said he is stunned by the competence, humility and dedication of Bawumia, praying God grants him his heart desires.
“Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is someone who has showed loyalty and commitment to the President and the New Patriotic Party,” Adutwum said at the event on Monday (6 June). “He has served Africa and Ghana well and shown that he is a competent and visionary leader.”
“My only wish is that God grants him his heart desires and when it is time, myself, Nananom (chiefs) and the Bosomtwe constituency will support him to realise that dream. He is a good man and we will support him to succeed and achieve whatever that it is on his heart,” the education minister said.
The popularity of Bawumia keeps soaring, especially in the stronghold of the governing New Patriotic Party as key members of the party are openly declaring support for his presidential vision.
The NPP is expected to elect its presidential candidate for the 2024 elections by the end of 2022.
