Samuel Atta Akyea, Chairman of the special committee investigating the leaked tape on plans to remove the IGP, has criticized Vice Chairman James Agalga for opposing the demand for the IGP's call logs.
Atta Akyea blamed Agalga's misunderstanding of the Constitution for the committee's issues. He argued in Parliament that the committee had the authority akin to a High Court and should have been able to request the call logs.
Atta Akyea described the committee's report, which he did not sign, as weak and lacking substance, recommending the rejection of its findings.
Despite his objections, Parliament adopted the report and sent it to President Akufo-Addo for further action.
