Former Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) under President Akufo-Addo for high levels of corruption, stating it has caused widespread suffering in Ghana.
Domelevo, who was unlawfully retired by Akufo-Addo, highlighted payments for non-existent projects, such as a $2 million sky train deal.
He noted that corruption is evident in government officials' lavish lifestyles and has reached unprecedented levels.
Domelevo emphasized that corruption has worsened with successive governments, making it unsustainable, and urged immediate action, including prosecuting corrupt officials, to address the issue.
