#DumsorMustStop protesters, led by actress Yvonne Nelson, gathered at the University of Ghana's main gate to start a vigil against frequent power cuts.
The vigil will proceed to the Tetteh Quarshie roundabout for a statement. Despite low turnout and previous police opposition, around thirty officers are now deployed to manage the protest.
Nelson, motivated by recent power outages and a blackout at Tema General Hospital allegedly causing a baby's death, emphasizes her determination to hold the government accountable.
She highlighted persistent power issues affecting daily life, rejecting government denials of the crisis.
