Otto Addo faced significant criticism for his choice to appoint Kudus over Ayew as captain. However, discussions between Addo and Ayew have resolved any lingering issues, paving the way for Ayew to take charge in the upcoming matches.

Ghana remains without a win after four qualifying games, having lost 1-0 at Baba Yara Stadium and drawing 1-1 against Niger in Berkane.

The team is determined to secure a spot in the 2025 tournament in Morocco, with their next match against Angola in Luanda on November 15, followed by a home game against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium three days later.

Currently, the Black Stars are in third place in Group F, with just two points from four matches, behind both Palancas Negras and Sudan.
