Kwasi Appiah has stepped down from his role on the GFA Executive Council after CAF flagged a conflict of interest.
As Sudan’s head coach, he’s set to face Ghana in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, which raised concerns about his dual roles.
CAF requested his temporary resignation to maintain the integrity of the competition. Appiah, who joined Sudan in 2023, has led the team to four wins in six games.
Ghana, currently third in Group F, will play Sudan in the qualifiers on October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
