Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has announced that winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is currently sidelined due to a groin injury.
Issahaku was absent from the squad during the recent Carabao Cup Fourth Round match against Manchester United, which resulted in a disappointing 5-2 loss.
In a press conference on Thursday, Cooper discussed Issahaku's condition. He mentioned, “We’ve had a really productive morning.

Cooper highlighted the necessity of choosing the right lineup to execute their strategy effectively. “You select a team that you believe is best suited to achieve a victory. This doesn’t mean that the players from last night’s match won’t feature again this weekend or vice versa. We’ve encountered a few injuries this week.”
On Issahaku's situation, Cooper explained, “Abdul was unavailable for last night’s game due to a groin issue. We had to make several forced changes, but just because we opted for one approach last night doesn’t mean we won’t consider a different strategy for the weekend.”
This season, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has participated in nine Premier League matches, providing two assists. Leicester City is currently positioned 15th in the league standings, with nine points from nine games, as they strive to improve their status in the top tier.
