Amamoo in another wahala.....

The Sweden Football Association has slammed Vasalunds for slashing the salary of goalkeeper William Amamoo following his decision to play in Ghana's World Cup qualifier and international friendly last week.

"That the Ghanaian goalie gave up salary-That sounds very strange for a Swedish elite club to have acted that way," Swedish Football Association's Secretary-General Sune Hellströmer told the DN newspaper.

Before he left for Accra, Amamoo was forced to sign a document acknowledging the loss of wages in the 9 days will be absent for the qualifier against Sudan and the friendly in Holland against Japan.

According Amamoo he was pressured by Vasalunds to sign that agreement.

"They said: "We need to take a photocopy of your passport to do a thing at the office". Since it took a day or two before they came to the paper and told me to sign - otherwise I would not get back the passport, "says William Amamoo.

"I was really shocked and sad. It should not cost money to play for his national team."

But Amamoo made a handwritten addition-"I do not accept this"-which makes the agreement void.

The 27-year-old believes the move by Vasalunds is to frustrate him to leave the club since he failed to sign a contract extension.

It is 90 percent certain that he will leave the club in January for a stellar side in Europe.

Vasalunds deliberately decided to drop him as first choice goalie to number two choice as a form of punishment.

"I have reported the club to Fifa to investigate and even when the club was asked the DN newspaper, they said they didn't know they had to release for the assignment because they are a new management team," Amamoo told Ghanasoccernet.com

He is the club's highest paid player on loan from English Championship side Coventry City.
