Udinese were 3-1 winners over Fiorentina on Sunday, putting in a spirited performance at the Stadio Friuli, despite their European exit this past week.
Udinese starlet Kwadwo Asamoah scored a splendid goal on the counter attack to open the scoring in the tenth minute of play.
"Asamoah has been a nice surprise," admitted UDinese coach Pasquale Marino.
"He's very young, we brought him here in July and have given him time to settle in. He is just a 20-year-old, we coaches must be sure that when we put these players in that they are ready. Otherwise, we risk burning them out."
Asamoah smashed a left-foot low drive past Viola goalkeeper Sebastien Frey in the first half and could not hide his satisfaction after the final whistle.
