Ashanti Regional Hockey chief resigns

Yaw Acheampong Boafo has resigned his post as the President of the Ashanti Regional Hockey Association.

The lawyer who also doubles as the as the President of the Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana Bar Association tendered his resignation to his executive members stating no reasons.

Information, however, suggests Yaw Acheampong Boafo was fed up with the constant drain of his personal resources in running the regional branch of the association.

Boafo who is into the second of his four-year term also wants time to be able to concentrate of his personal legal practice.

His place will now be taken by Ashanti Regional Hockey Association Vice President Kwabena Akyeampong.
