Attoh Promises Good Show

Experienced bodybuilder, Eric Attoh, has promised a package for the top brass in the sport when the elite in Ghana?s bodybuilding arena meet for the 2005 Musclemania West Africa Championship later in the year.

The event, scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, December 17, will attract a host of foreign bodybuilders, including some from America, but the youngman nicknamed ?Terror? remains unruffled by the reality of the task ahead.

?I have something to show on December 17, and that much is assured. But let everyone be ready for a real contest,? Attoh warned ahead of the main event.

Showing calm nerves in an interview with the Graphic Sports, Attoh said modest performances in previous competitions had only prepared him for the biggest bodybuilding show yet in Ghana.

?What will be more dignifying than to win the championship in December?? he asked. ?What others have won in the past will not matter any more.?

?Terror? has risen from the sixth position in the 2000 competition, dubbed ?Gladiators,? to fourth position in 2002 and 2004 events. None of these positions have earned him enough respect, he admits, but assured that his best is yet to be seen on December 17.

?I am seriously enthralled by the idea of competing alongside international bodybuilders,? he said.

As at the close of last week, event organisers, Koflex Sports, said seven contestants from Cote d?Ivoire had confirmed their participation, with five from Senegal and three from Mali also booked for the show.

Others from Nigeria, in particular, and other West African countries were expected to join the field before registration closes, the organisers said.

As a side attraction to the event which guarantees the winner a trip to America courtesy North American Airlines, the 2005 MuscleMania West Africa Championship will feature a special Koflex Sports Modeling Championship.
