Ghanaian supporters were reportedly forced to march out of the stadium as police fired tear gas to disperse irate Equatorial Guinea fans.

Objects were also seen scattered across the track which surrounded the pitch.

Gabonese referee Eric Arnaud Otogo-Castane was left with no option than to halt proceedings as players and team officials stood in the middle of the pitch.
