This meeting, referred to as the VAR kick-off session, is essential for FIFA's Implementation Assessment Approval Program, which is a prerequisite for any member association looking to adopt VAR.
There have been concerns regarding the current quality of broadcasts in the Ghana Premier League and the potential improvements with the introduction of VAR. Kotey has shared the GFA's strategy to tackle these challenges.
“Incorporating VAR into your broadcast enhances its overall presentation,” he stated during an interview with Asempa FM.
“We plan to engage with the broadcast rights holders and provide them with the necessary training as needed.”
Kotey, along with the GFA’s General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, participated in the meeting.
