The Black Princesses of Ghana suffered a 1-2 defeat against Austria in their opening match of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia.
Despite a strong lineup and a late push, Ghana conceded an early goal in the 12th minute and a penalty in the 70th minute, leaving them trailing 0-2.
Stella Nyamekye managed to score a late goal in the 93rd minute, but it wasn't enough to secure a comeback.
The Black Princesses will face Japan, the 2018 champions, in their next match on Thursday at 22:00 GMT.
