Ibrahim Saanie Daara, the former Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has expressed concerns that complacency among players is hindering the Black Stars' progress.
The national team has struggled recently, failing to perform well in the last two AFCON tournaments in Cameroon and Ivory Coast, where they were eliminated in the group stage.

Daara, now a Senior Media Officer at CAF, believes that the players' sense of security in their positions is contributing to this complacency.
He urges the GFA leadership and coaching staff to demand greater effort from the players. He stated, "After observing the Black Stars in the AFCON qualifiers, it seems there is an issue of complacency, as players appear to feel their spots are secure. The leadership and technical team need to motivate them to perform at their best, as qualification is still a goal."
The Black Stars are set to continue their qualifiers later this month, facing Angola on November 15 and Niger three days later. To qualify for the tournament, Ghana must secure victories in these matches while hoping for Sudan to lose against Niger and Angola.
