Daniel Amartey and Besiktas officially part ways

Daniel Amartey, a defender for the Black Stars, has reached an agreement to leave Turkish club Besiktas.

The contract was mutually terminated, resolving a recent transfer dispute that had intensified.

Besiktas had sought to sell the center-back, who had one year left on his contract after signing a two-year deal in 2023.

However, Amartey reportedly declined to proceed with the transfer, with club spokesperson Huseyin Yucel stating that the player was only interested in a move to England, despite the transfer window being closed.
