Former Ghana U-20 star Ebenezer Assifuah has revealed the real reason behind his move to newly promoted French Ligue 2 side Pau Football Club.
The former FC Sion striker made the headlines on Friday when news of his transfer to Pau FC broke. The 26 year old has signed a 1 year deal with an option to renew for a further year with ‘Les Capbourruts’.
Assifuah caught the attention of the world at a young age when he won the top scorer award at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey. His career growth has however slowed down in the last 2 years while with French Ligue 2 side Le Havre AC.
In his first ever interview after the move, Assifuah has exclusively told Takoradi-based Skyy Power FM, he decided to move on to a club that offers more game time.
In his narration, he captured that the move to Pau FC aside guaranteeing him the consistent playing minutes he badly seeks; also allows for a reunion with the coach he worked with for the first time in Europe while at FC Sion, Didier Tholot.
