Emmanuel Presbyterian Church Inaugurated

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church of Springfield, Virginia, is a Ghanaian
congregation affiliated to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. It was
established in June of 2004, according to divine plan. The church was
inaugurated on June 17,2007 as the PCG number three congregation in
USA. Rev. Dr. Charles Gyang-Duah, District Minister of Overseas
Mission Field, USA, officiated the inaugural ceremony. He was assisted
by Rev. Eric Aminarh, minister of Emmanuel, Rev. Yaw Asiedu, minister
of PCG, NY, Rev. Edu-Bekoe, minister of PCG, NJ, Edward Ansong, clerk
of OMF, and Prince Kusi, caretaker of Emmanuel PCG. Delegations from
Adom PCG, Bronx PCG, New York PCG and New Jersey PCG were in
attendance.

Rev. Dr. Gyang-Duah, preached the sermon on the Theme, the Lord
Forgives. In his inspiring sermon, he said the church would win more
souls for Christ if she desists from stereotyping some particular
people as sinners. And he added that those you reject as sinners would
go to heaven ahead of you. The minister paid tribute to the founding
members of the Emmanuel congregation and commended people who
distinguished themselves in rendering dedicated service to the church.
Mr. & Mrs. Kofi Yeboah chaired the fundraising ceremony. The occasion
was very solemn and colorful. The mission of the church is to bring
together all Ghanaians in the Washington Metro area and other people
who are yearning for spiritual fellowship in Christ.
