Former Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg has accepted guilt for a domestic abuse charge involving his estranged wife.
During his appearance at Selkirk Sheriff Court, Hogg acknowledged his aggressive behavior, which included shouting and swearing at Gillian.
He also confessed to persistently monitoring her whereabouts and sending her numerous distressing messages.
The court was informed that the ex-Hawick and Glasgow Warriors player, who has represented Scotland 100 times, had sent over 200 messages within a few hours on one occasion.
Sheriff Peter Paterson has postponed sentencing until December 5 to allow for background reports.
