The Executive Assistant to Ghana's Sports Minister is demanding an apology from Prof. Amin Alhassan, Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), for suggesting the Sports Minister misled the public about the payments for the All African Games coverage.
GBC claimed it only received $105,000, not $3 million as stated by the Minister.
However, the Sports Ministry clarified that after a $3.6 million contract, they paid $2.5 million to GBC and $1 million to third parties, totaling $3.5 million.
There’s a $100,000 discrepancy yet to be explained.
