Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has unveiled plans to expand the association’s bus acquisition strategy after awarding buses to nine Division One League clubs as part of a merit awards scheme.

The presentation ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium saw the top three teams from each zone of the 2023-24 Access Bank Division One League season receive buses.

This initiative addresses transportation challenges faced by clubs and was funded through increased GFA revenue.

President Okraku emphasized the need for comfortable travel for players and announced plans to extend the initiative to more clubs and the Women’s Premier League, with four teams set to receive buses soon. Beneficiary clubs, including Techiman Heroes and Okwahu United, expressed gratitude for the support.
