GFA to develop VAR roadmap following FIFA guidance

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is advancing towards the adoption of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in its football leagues.

A two-day conference held in Accra with FIFA's VAR team concentrated on detailing the steps needed for effective implementation.

FIFA officials Inokuchi Takaaki and Michael Bailey introduced the Implementation Assistance and Approval Programme (IAAP), which provided GFA representatives with guidance on crucial aspects like training, infrastructure, and ongoing evaluation.
