Genoa President Alberto Zangrillo expressed confidence in resolving tensions between new coach Patrick Vieira and striker Mario Balotelli, who recently joined the club as a free agent.
The duo's strained relationship dates back to their time as Manchester City teammates and later at OGC Nice.
Despite fan backlash over sacking popular coach Alberto Gilardino and appointing Vieira, Zangrillo remains optimistic. Speaking to 'LaPresse', he stated, "Mario is an intelligent person, and so is our new coach. They will hug in front of me and happily co-exist."
The club’s decision has sparked debate, but Zangrillo believes both individuals can move past their differences and work towards Genoa’s success under Vieira’s leadership.
