GFA President Kurt Okraku has called for calm and collective effort following the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), marking Ghana’s first absence since 2004.

The team finished last in Group F with no wins from six games, a significant setback for the four-time AFCON champions.

Okraku acknowledged the disappointment, sharing the nation’s pain but emphasized unity and honesty to address the challenges.

He promised to focus on rebuilding Ghana football, describing the recovery journey as tough but achievable through collective patience and commitment.

With attention shifting to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March, Okraku reassured fans that the setback is temporary and expressed optimism for a stronger resurgence of the Black Stars.
