Former Hearts of Oak coach Kim Grant has called for the dismissal of Otto Addo as Black Stars head coach following Ghana's failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 21 years.
The team finished bottom of Group F without a win, suffering home defeats to Angola and Niger.
Grant criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for shielding Addo and his technical staff despite the dismal campaign. He described plans to retain Addo for the World Cup qualifiers as "outrageous," warning it could lead to further embarrassment.
In a Facebook post, Grant urged the GFA to prioritize accountability and eliminate mediocrity, accusing the technical team of mismanaging talent. The GFA Executive Council has since met to discuss the Black Stars’ poor performance.
