Kwame Owusu Danso, Convener of the Forum for Accountable Governance, has petitioned the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to investigate alleged corruption in the $245 million expenditure for the 13th All African Games held in March 2024.
The group is concerned about transparency, accountability, and possible procurement breaches.
Danso expressed confidence in the OSP's ability to conduct a thorough investigation, emphasizing the need for accountability.
This comes amid controversy, as GBC's Director-General, Prof. Amin Alhassan, refuted claims by the Sports Ministry that GBC received over $3 million for its coverage, stating they only received $105,000.
