Hate or like him, he was born a leader – John Paintsil on Andre Ayew

There are some people who are born leaders and such people are easily identify by their traits right from infancy and that’s the exact words of John Paintsil when he shared his views about Andre Ayews captaincy.

Piantsil in an exclusive interview with Adam Adjei on Kasapa FM’s on Dwidwamu said he saw great leadership qualities in Andre Morgan Rami Dede Ayew when he got his maiden call up into the Black Stars in 2008.

He says “Andre Ayew was born a leader and no matter how people see him whether good or bad he was born to lead so he wasn’t surprised to be named as the captain of the senior male national team the Black Stars.

Paintsil reminiscing about the past revealed how Dede was always giving them morale both on and off the pitch.

Ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations, former Head Coach Kwasi Appiah appointed Andre Ayew as the permanent Captain of the Black Stars replacing Asamoah Gyan.
