Ghana coach Otto Addo has vowed to rebuild the Black Stars after their disastrous 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign.
The team’s 2-1 loss to Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium capped a winless run, marking Ghana’s first absence from the tournament in 20 years.
Despite mounting calls for his resignation, Addo remains determined, stating, “I never give up. This is part of the job. I know it’s normal for people to want me to resign, but I will keep pushing.”
Deeply saddened by the outcome, Addo expressed reluctance to face his family due to their disappointment. Looking ahead, Ghana will shift focus to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, competing in Group I as they seek to restore their reputation and national pride.
