Inkoom's DC United out of MLS Cup

Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom crushed out of the MLS Cup Playoff with DC United in their aggregate defeat to New York Bulls over the weekend.

The 24-year-old was an unused substitute as United won the battle but Bulls won the fight in a 3-2 aggregate win.

Despite a 2-1 win for DC United at sunny RFK Stadium on Saturday, the Red Bulls advanced past their Atlantic Cup rivals for the first time in five postseason meetings.

The Ghanaian international joined the American after enduring a torrid time at Ukrainian side Dnipro.

He enjoyed some decent run since he arrived but could only made the bench as they exited the competition.

United are still in with a chance to fight for a silverware after qualifying to the next stage of the CONCACAF Champions’ League.
