Inkoom vows to prove to Grant he made right choice over AFCON recall

USA-based defender Samuel Inkoom has vowed to repay the confidence shown in him by Ghana coach Avram Grant for recalling him to the Black Stars for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The DC United defender has not been called to the Black Stars since the World Cup in Brazil in June.

However, the new Black Stars coach included the right-back in the provisional squad for the tournament in Equatorial Guinea next month.

Inkoom is grateful for the chance and is confident he will prove the coach right by handing him a return to the Black Stars.

“I am very grateful for yet another opportunity to prove myself in service of my homeland,” Inkoom said.

“I am very happy for the show of confidence and excited to prove to Avram Grant that he made the right choice.”

Ghana have been drawn in a tough group to face Algeria, Senegal and South Africa.
