He emphasized that restoring Ghanaian football to its former glory will require time and significant investment.

During a press conference at the U15 Colts Championship in Prampram, he reflected on the past, reminding everyone of the struggles the sport has faced, including the halt of football activities and the decline of youth leagues.
He noted that the national teams have also suffered from inconsistent performances.
Okraku stressed that overcoming these issues demands patience, the right leadership, and substantial financial support.
In the wake of the Number 12 exposé, the Ghanaian government dissolved the GFA in 2018 to restore integrity within the sport. This scandal also had repercussions for the national team, the Black Stars, which failed to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Additionally, the exposé led to the suspension of several referees by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) due to corruption allegations.
