Accra Lions head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed support for Otto Addo, despite the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana finished bottom of Group F with three points, recording three defeats and three draws.
While calls for Addo's dismissal have been made, Tanko believes Addo should be given more time, citing the challenges he faced, including his previous tenure guiding Ghana to the 2022 World Cup.
Tanko argues that hiring a new coach won't guarantee success, especially with the World Cup qualifiers approaching.
He also noted that sacking Addo would incur costs, and there's no assurance that a new coach would have an immediate impact. The GFA's Executive Council will decide on Addo's future.
