Knight's Choice wins Melbourne Cup by a nose

Knight's Choice triumphed in Australia's prestigious Melbourne Cup, clinching victory in a thrilling photo finish.

This marked the first ride in the event for Irish jockey Robbie Dolan, while it was a second win for New Zealand trainer Sheila Laxon.

Warp Speed secured second place in the two-mile race, followed by Okita Soushi, who was ridden by Jamie Kah, one of four female jockeys competing this year.

Despite being the favorite, Buckaroo finished in ninth place, while Knight's Choice, an unexpected 90-1 outsider, surged ahead in the final moments to claim the title.
