Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association and WAFU B, is intensifying his support for the re-election of CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe.
As a close ally of the South African billionaire, Okraku is spearheading efforts to secure Motsepe's continued leadership of the African football governing body following a successful first term.

Okraku praised Motsepe for fulfilling his commitments, particularly in enhancing financial support for Zonal Unions and Member Associations throughout Africa.
Since taking office in 2021, Dr. Motsepe has implemented reforms to advance African football and strengthen the financial stability of CAF. As the end of his first term approaches, anticipation for the 2025 elections is growing, with nominations due by November 12, 2024.
The elections will take place in Cairo, Egypt, where football leaders from across the continent will determine the future leadership of CAF, including various executive committee roles and representatives for FIFA.
Currently, no other candidates have announced their intention to run for the presidency, despite the nomination deadline being four months away. Dr. Motsepe, at 62, is notable for being the first Black African on Forbes' billionaire list, boasting a net worth of $3 billion.
