Medeama SC striker Kwame Boateng has set his sights on finishing as the top scorer in the forthcoming Ghana Premier League season.
The 25-year-old joined the Mauve and Yellows late last year from Asante Kotoko as a free agent.
The prolific forward quickly endeared himself to the club faithful by netting three goals in the GHALCA G-8 tournament, where they exited at the semi-final stage.
Boateng expressed his joy over his move to the Tarkwa-base side but was quick to point out that his main focus is to land the goal king gong.
"At Kotoko there was a lot of pressure to deliver but the pressure here [Medeama] is not like Kotoko, so am happy to join Medeama," Boateng to Kessben FM.
"My target for the upcoming season is to win the goal king award. I know it will surely happen because my teammates are here to support me."
He spent half of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League season at Accra Great Olympics.
