My disclosure of $20m transfer didn’t breach national security – Ablakwa

MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has defended his actions regarding the $20 million transfer from the Bank of Ghana to the Central Bank of Liberia.

Ablakwa, who shared details of the transfer on social media, stated he was performing his oversight duties and did not breach national security protocols. He explained that his post aimed to seek clarity and emphasize accountability.

Despite the Bank of Ghana’s concerns about potential security breaches, Ablakwa argues that his actions were part of parliamentary oversight and that there were no flight details disclosed.

He expressed satisfaction with the explanations provided by both the Bank of Ghana and the Liberian government.
