Ghana international full back, John Paintsil has described the Kwesi Nyantakyi-led administration of the Ghana Football Association as the best ever in the history of Ghana football.
Chronicling the achievements of the current administration, the Maritzburg United full back lauded the Ghana FA for ensuring that Ghana is now a force to reckon with at the international level and added that the brand Ghana is now hugely respected by all.
Speaking to Sportscrusader.com, John Paintsil admitted that even though there might be short falls in the current Football Association, he thinks it is the beat that Ghana has ever had as compared to previous FAs.
“I played under the Ben Coffie administration before playing under the Nyantakyi administration and I think the Nyantakyi era is better.
Uncle Ben Coffie built a youthful policy which took us to the U20 World Cup finals in 2001 in Argentina for Nyantakyi to continue”, Paintsil said.
“When he came, the Black Stars have gone to the World Cup three times and we have won the U20 World Cup. Every country that plays football now knows Ghana and I think Nyantakyi and his people are the reason”, he added.
John further indicated that, the current FA does not only do administrative work but also, they manage the players as well by giving them advice as to how to use their monies etc.
“They have made the national team like a club. They are like club managers who offered us investment options and advise us as to how to spend our monies. So for me, they are always the best when I compare them to the previous administration”, he concluded.
